Families Growing Together in Christ

Each summer, families from Westwood Baptist Church come together for a special time of fellowship and encouragement at Family Retreat at Pineywoods Baptist Encampment.

Family Retreat is a chance to step away from the busyness of everyday life, spend time together, build friendships, and enjoy the beauty of God’s creation. Throughout the retreat, families share meals, enjoy activities, worship together, and make memories that last long after the weekend is over.

Most importantly, Family Retreat gives us an opportunity to grow closer to one another and to Christ. We believe that strong families and strong relationships are an important part of a thriving church community, and we love having this special time each summer to simply be together.

Passport Through the Reformation

Discovering Our Heritage. Celebrating Our Faith.

Each year on October 31, Westwood Baptist Church takes a journey back in time with Passport Through the Reformation—a fun and interactive way to learn about the people and events that shaped the Protestant Reformation.

Participants travel through different stations, taking part in games, activities, and hands-on experiences while discovering the stories of the men and women who played important roles in the Reformation. Along the way, there are plenty of opportunities for fun, fellowship, food, and prizes!

Passport Through the Reformation is a unique way to celebrate our Christian heritage while helping us remember the importance of standing firm in the truth of God’s Word. It’s an evening filled with learning, laughter, and a whole lot of fun!
