Disaster Relief:

The Dogwood Trails Baptist Association Disaster Relief Unit is in desperate need of volunteers.  In the aftermath of Hurricane Laura, more units are needing to deploy over the next few weeks.  If you can deploy in the next two weeks, please contact me at 903-724-5453 or Jeff Douglas, Unit Director at 903-922-2659.

Disaster Relief offers an opportunity for ministry to people who have lost and are suffering.  The message of hope we seek to deliver to them Jesus Christ and Him crucified.  Please join us on this mission.

Equip Classes Help Us Grow

Equip classes start Sunday, September 13 at 6:15 p.m. 
1. Christian History (5BC to 590AD) - Led by Rick Dees.  You will learn:
  • To be inspired by faithful Christians who have gone before us
  • To be protected from repeating errors in doctrine and practice
  • To be reminded of God’s faithfulness to His people through the ages
  • To be motivated to persevere 
Our study in Church History will take us from Jesus’ birth up to the Middle Ages. 

2. Making Sense of the Bible - Led by Rickey Dees.  You will be studying the doctrine of the Word of God. We will learn about the inspiration, inerranncy, infallibility, authority, clarity, and sufficiency of God's Word.  We will also explore ways the world and the church have laid aside the Word of God and how we can avoid these errors.  The cost for the book is $10.00

3. Making Sense of Who God Is - Led by Zach Zajicek. You will explore the existence, nature, and character of God with the aim of knowing Him fully and loving Him deeply.  This study will help us overcome wrong ideas, make better decisions on new questions, and grow together as Christians.   The cost for the book is $14.00

Theological Training Scholarship

 

A fund has been set up to assist those

seeking a Theological degree.

Josh Dennis will be attending

Midwestern Baptist Theological Seminary

this semester.  These funds will be used

to assist paying for his tuition.
